Thursday Poll

image from kissandmakeup.tv

It's getting close to Halloween kiddos! We have a decent amount of trick-o-treaters in our neighborhood but some of the kids come really late and some don't even wear costumes! I think I'll be turning off the porch light at 9:00 this year...maybe even sooner.... and I'm giving boxed raisins to kids without costumes!!

On to the Poll

1) Lip Of The Day - Guerlain Kiss Kiss stick Gloss in Grape Juice

2) A beauty tip that you feel is important or want to share with others? - Sunscreen is your best friend. It should be worn every day even when you think it is overcast. Nothing prevents fine lines and wrinkles better than sunscreen applied often and early! Yeah that's right, I'm looking at you 20 somethings!

3) What was the #1 song on the day you were born? Click here to find out: http://www.joshhosler.biz/NumberOneInHistory/SelectMonth.htm Mine was "It's Too Late/ I Feel the Earth Move" by Carole King

4) What color lipstick will you never wear and why? Orange or any variance of orange. It make my face look this sickly yellow red. No matter how much I tried, Chanel Rouge Allure in Exotic would not work for me. :: sniffle::

  1. 1) NARS Stolen Kisses

2)ummm... blend! eyeshadow, foundation, blush, whatever it is- blend, blend, blend! Streaks of color are not your friends.

3)Fun question! For me it was "Fame" by David Bowie.

4)My motto is "never say never," but I will most likely never wear any bright orange/coral/pink shade. It's not so much about color as it is brightness for me.

  2. LOTD: MAC HoneyFlower

Beauty tip: ITA with Pink Sith SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN. If you have been to as many beauty company trainings as I have and seen all the research, you would know you should start doing this very young and keep doing it until the day you leave this earth!

Song on the day I was born: "Deep Purple" I won't say the year.

Lip color I will never wear: Anything Purple!!!

    1) Lip Of The Day - MAC Girl About Town

    2) A beauty tip that you feel is important or want to share with others? - Simply powdering your shine away isn't good enough...blot first, then add powder. Otherwise you're just adding layers of powder over oil. Ew.

    4) What color lipstick will you never wear and why? Brown. Just. Ew.

  6. valerie: OMG yes. Blending is sooooo important! I have seen my share of stripedy train wrecks from the 1980's Hello Grace Jones. I'm looking in your general direction.

janine: Deep purple is not a song it's a band. = fail. j/k. TY for having my back on the sunscreen thing. we learned our lessons.

/lachesis: skincare yes!! Shimmery baby pink? good thing you were a teen in the 80's!

alyson: Welcome baaack! Excellent tip. blot then powder. I see women do this all the time and ugh. cakey mess. ::makes mental note to stock up on blotting sheets:: p.s. I have been guilty of this once before.

joey: OMG yes. no mother should let her daughter near a tweezers until the age of 18, and before that she should have them professionally done. ITA!
