I'm so sorry for your loss! He looks like such a cute, sweet, and funny pup :) My heart goes out to you, and I hope you can take some solace in the wonderful memories you have of him. I have two doggies and can't even imagine how much it must hurt to have lost him :(

Oh Elvira I am sorry to hear about Artie - I am sure he is in a better place, a wonderful doggie heaven with lots of bones and curtains to hide under. (HUGS)
ReplyDeleteHi Elvira, so sorry to hear of your loss. *hugs*

I'm so so sorry for your loss. I understand how difficult it can be.
ReplyDeleteElvira, many hugs and kisses.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about Artie's passing.
I'm terribly sorry about Artie, I understand how hard it is to lose a beloved pet. lots of hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Elvira,
ReplyDeleteI am very sorry for you and your family about the loss of Artie.
Thanks for showing photos of him! What a cutie with a lot of personality. Many hugs.
I'm very sorry to hear of Artie's passing, Elvira, he seemed full of personality and sweet doggy mischief. As tough as it was, it was the correct call to let him go peacefully and not in a slow, drugged state, that wouldn't be fair to either of you. My condolences to you, your family and big brother Floyd from me and my Chevy, who also lost his adopted friend after just one day with us. I'll give him lots of extra love today.
ReplyDelete(((Hugs)))
so sorry to hear that
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss. It can feel so hard to lose a loved pet. I had to put my beautiful Woody (cat) to sleep 2 years ago, and I was so devastated by it. It is horrible to be the one to make the decision, but it is unbearable to let your loved pet suffer.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. I lost my beloved dog at the beginning of the year and it still hurt.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your kind words. You really have made this experience for me better buy knowing that you empathize and that some of you have gone through this yourselves. Thanks for your kind thoughts and support. (((Hugs you all)))
ReplyDeleteI know this is a day late, but I still want to offer my hugs <3 It's never too late to send condolences to someone in pain. I know that even though he's not a true "child", you still raised him, and fed him, and loved him every day. I hope you're alright, hon!
ReplyDeleteRae: Thank you so much. You are right. It's never too late for condolences. Thanks for thinking of me and for your kind words.
ReplyDeleteI'm seriously trying not to break down in tears at my desk at work right now. I am so sorry for your loss. The love you have for your dog/pet is something you just can't describe (as I love my pup so dearly as well). I'll be keeping you and your family (and Artie) in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteI've never commented on your blog before, but I read it often -- I am SO sorry to hear about Artie. I had just sent the post about him and the lip gloss to my mom and dad to laugh about.
ReplyDeleteWe had a bulldog named Joey who had a real chewing problem -- he once ate an entire newspaper and the only sign it had happened was one tiny scrap of paper. The photos of Artie remind me a lot of him -- especially the curtain! Joey was always going under my mom's lace curtains or tablecloth. We used to joke he was playing "bride" and annoy my dad, who liked to emphasize Joey's manly side. :P
It's so hard to lose a furry member of your family -- and even harder if you have to make the decision to let them go, even if it is for the best. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Hug Floyd tight!
Tanya: Aww thanks for the kind words and for thinking of us.
ReplyDeleteElisabeth. Your story made me smile. It's so awesome to have a bulldog. They are such "personalities". I used to threaten to dress Artie up for Halloween and my husband objected for the same reasons your dad did. lol. Thanks for your kind words and for your post!
I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I have a silky x maltese dog named Zhen-Zhen (pearl in Cantonese) and she is (to me anyways) the most beautiful dog. I was just saying to my husband, that when her time comes (she is currently 10 years old) I would miss her terribly. Thankfully she is still quite fit and healthy for her age.
