I was hesitant to review this eyeshadow for you all because it really can't be found in the US for purchase. I only came across it because my friend Conny in the UK mentioned it and I asked her to do a custom purchase for me. Oh but I am blessed in the makeup friends department, because Conny not only agreed to get it for me, she also gave it to me free! Free is the best kind of makeup! I'm sure I'll have a chance to return the favor one day. That's how things work among makeup fiends like us! (Yes I typed fiend! Not friend.)

What is this wondrous product? It's an eyeshadow by Gosh Cosmetics. The formula is called Glamorous. This is a wet / dry shadow. This shadow looks like it might be baked to me. It has a dome but also has hetch marks. I'm not sure exactly. The consistency of the shadow is hard with a decent amount of shimmer and is fairly sheer. When used wet, the consistency becomes creamy and opaque metallic

What I do know is that the color is beautiful! I received #15 Bottle Green. It's a greenish grey with green, gold and silver shimmer. And before you even say it, it's nothing like Lancome Erika F eyeshadow. Erika F is warmer and lighter. The color is unique enough to wear on it's own applied dry, and striking enough to wear as a metallic liner or lid color when applied wet. The color is really like a green glass coca-cola bottle when it's been run over and scattered across a parking lot. (How's that for a description!)
So if you can't get it in the US Elvira. how can you get it? Well my little xenophobic friend you can do a few different things.
a) Wistfully look at pictures here
b) Fly to the UK and purchase it
c) Befriend someone in the UK and have them buy it
or
d) Search the interwebz like crazy and find a way to get it.
Sorry. I know that all of those choices aren't the best but I really don't know of any other way. Perhaps one of you dear readers would be able to share a link to a store or something. Honestly. I searched the Gosh cosmetics website and they only sell the eyeshadow singles. Not the Glamorous Eye Shadow wet/dry formula shadows. This bummed me out.
Gosh Cosmetics website is www.goshcosmetics.com
So do you NEED this? Probably not. I say "probably not" for my North and South American readers. But if you are in Asia or the UK. pick this one up! Oh and if you happen to find #14 in Gray Brown (Helloooo Taupe!!) Send it to me!!

Eye Of The Day using Gosh Glamorous Eye Shadow in #15 Bottle Green all over lid and blended up. Lancome Arline in Star Shower and Shu Uemura The Basic Mascara and Maybelline Colossal Volume Mascara...which I forgot to curl. P.S. I like any eyeshadow that makes my eyes look more green!
judging from the swatches and the EOTD, i prefer it's used as it looks like a very sheer green if otherwise. i prefer a green that makes drama, not subtle...
ReplyDeletelove the review!
They sell GOSH cosmetics in Canada! So any North Americans from here could find it at Shoppers Drug Mart! XD
ReplyDeletei love the wet applied... would really like to try it if i've got the chance... nice review!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this:) I've stayed away from their shadows based on so-so reviews, but I might give theses a shot now!
ReplyDeleteThat's gorgeous with your eyecolor! The only Gosh stuff I have is the liners and I lovvum.
ReplyDeletehe he, I will check it out in my local drugstore. Oh, and I will look for the 14 for you as well!
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty! Looks fabulous on you! Lucky girl!!

Oooh, this is perty =D why are greens so appealing to me right now!?!?
ReplyDeleteI love the way you showed how the product looks when applied wet vs. dry. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteOooooh, green! It's odd how different it looks in the pictures, in the pan it's SO dark, the swatches look like mac greensmoke (imo), and on the lid it's a gorgeous faintly-sparkly grey-green. Nice!
ReplyDeleteElvira - If you ever want any more GOSH stuff let me know - they do sell them at Shoppers here and if they have what you want I can CP it for you!
ReplyDeleteI wonder what it would look at over a blk base... I want more drama from my bottle green!!!
ReplyDeleteNice EOTD tho. :D
