Just when I have put away all my summer/fall clothing the temperature turns up to the mid 60's. While that might be cold for some of you, that's kinda warm for December. So as I'm digging out my warmer weather clothing, I realize that my damn house has no closet space. Seriously. This house must have been designed by a man or a very boring woman because there are only 4 closets. One about the size of a linen closet (in Darthypie's room) a medium closet in the guest room and 2 closets one that could technically be called a "walk in" but it's about the size of a large shower in the mater bedroom. There are no closets on the main level and one in the basement that looks more like a crawlspace under the stairs. Where do these architects expect me to put all my stuff? Oh and it's not just MY stuff it's Mr. Sith's stuff too. I need to buy the home next to me as a storage space. One thing I am not, is a hoarder. One thing that Mr. Sith is, is a hoarder . He is a clothes horse and a shoe hoor. If I had 2 weeks without him around he would come back to a practically empty house. I love throwing stuff away. A lot of times it makes me feel great, but some times I regret it. Like the time I accidentally threw away a Chanel dual cake liner in brown and hunter green (circa 1998) or the time I tossed a MAC eyeshadow in some sort of sooty grey color with the twist off lid...old skool style! I tossed my meteorites from the 1980s and I tossed my 1980's Dior Quint. Sometimes I go to far. Makeup, especially powder makeup, if it hasn't gotten wet or changed color can be good for a really long time. I bet I could still be using the Dior quint today...if I had been more savvy. Oh well. Lesson learned. I don't throw makeup away anymore, and that's why I need a house with more closet space. On To The Poll!

3. A lot of cosmetic sales going on...or just ended. What did you get and what do you regret, if anything NOT purchasing? - I got Bobbi Brown Chrome Formula eye shadow in Pewter 20% off. I regret not getting BECCA Gypsy Pressed Shimmer Powder during their sale at 25% off.
4. Do you Collect Anything? (other than makeup) - I used to collect all sorts of things when I was younger, but now it seems that I mostly collect Perfumes. I love the different bottles and the wonderful scents. It's a small collection and I'm growing it slowly. I also collect dust.
5. What makeup item/collection/or category are you currently obsessed with? - Right now I am on the hunt for cake eyeliners. I gave away all my gel liners (another tossing habit) and decided I only want cake liners. So far I have 4 Chanel, 1 Laura Mercier and 1 BECCA. I want (read: NEED) A Decent Navy, A Plum and a Grey. I actually HIT PAN on my last grey cake liner from Benefit. That was a while ago and it's long gone, but I would like to have another one..with maybe shimmer in it.
This weather is BIZARRE! I was out last night with one of my guy friends and I was sweating while outside! And I had to sleep with my window open and a fan on!

What did you get and what do you regret, if anything NOT purchasing? - Well hm, I don't regret skipping the Bobbi Brown sale, the Shu sale, or the Becca sale because I hauled like hell (well, pre-ordered like hell) for the Bergdorf Beauty Event. Edward Bess and Paul and Joe ALWAYS win out over any other makeup line for me. Now, the NARS code for 22% off...that may move me, because I effing love NARS.
4. Do you Collect Anything? (other than makeup) - I used to have an insane perfume collection, but I made myself go on a use-up four years ago and I'm down to one tiny bottle now =D. Same for my old Bath and Body Works collection (I had the entire old line, every scent and every product for every scent). Growing up I collected Polly Pockets, antique and current paper dolls, and antique dollhouses and dollhouse furniture. This stuff is all at my parents' home in Florida. Now besides makeup, I have a decent DVD collection, and also, a small collection of Japanese stationary. I did also have a LE Converse sneaker collection, but I either wore the sneakers out or outgrew them.
5. What makeup item/collection/or category are you currently obsessed with? - Well I'm on a makeup line kick rather than an item kick, I think. I'm all about NARS, Edward Bess, and Paul and Joe. If I had to think of an item...I'm on a taupe kick still, a red lips kick, and um, an eye brush kick. It was really hard for me to NOT haul Bobbi Brown considering she has a ton of taupes I want but...I can wait on that. Especially since I still need to pay for Bergdorf order #2 and order #3, plus I'm getting a MAC 252 brush tomorrow...
You'll be jealous but I turned the guest bedroom into a giant walk in closet. I got one of those closet companies to come in and build me a wall of shoe shelves, these awesome glass drawers for bags and of course hangins space as far as the eye can see! Also a giant dressing table with a million drawers for my babies (I mean makeup of course, I'm not some crazy lady putting children in drawers)! Side benefit, parents can't come to stay because there is no place for them to sleep!

3. I ordered Coralista from beautyticket, a Lipstick Queen set, wish I would have ordered the single chrome shadows from BB but oh well.
4. I collect old fashioned Santas but they only come out once a year, I used to collect tea pots but not anymore, I have quite a collection of postcards from different places I've been. Now I just collect wrinkles on my face.

3. i only participated in the GA FF. I got blush #2 and bronzer #1. dont really regret not getting anything as i am a poor college student.

ReplyDelete2) Tosser (hehe). I believe in the art of purging... I cannot wait until I have time to go obliterate some of the old crap that I have from college. I'm also a vicious MU purger, haven't done anything that I'd regret or miss yet, though.
3) Really nothing, I'm interested in any of those brands. I would however be sad to miss the NARS sale or a Sephora Sale or a MAC FF sale. Those are sales that I would miss dearly.
4) When I was a kid I collected thimbles. I have one from virtually every state in the US, and some from overseas that my mother bribed her friends to bring back for me as surprises. As an adult I collect makeup, jewelry, coins and books. I have an epic book collection. I also have a collection of personal nick nacks that is dubbed "my collection of random shit" becuase its random, but I love it. Oh, and I kind of collect art work (ish - in the cheap paper/ postcard/ cut out of magazine form) that I make into these huge collages that I use as posters to cover my walls.
5) Lately, I've sorta been lemming neutrals, blushs and foundation... all three things on the slim side in my stash.
Also, this weather is global warmings way of making us its b*tch. Just a thought :p

4. I cannot resist buying and collecting cute little dessert plates - hello Anthropologie home sale!!! It also inspires me to keep baking then my waistband gets sad.
5. Lips - always obsessed with my lips and it's not out of vanity but more like, "what's NOT going to make my lips peel or break into a rash?" NARS has been a blessing for me...MAC is iffy...Dior's Creme de Gloss is good too. Oh and Kiehl's lip balm...now...today..tomorrow and always! =)

The last makeup I bought on sale was from the UD Hautelook sale and I haven't gotten it yet. Previously, was actually the Sephora VIB sale which seems oh so long ago LOL. I've been trying to be very good lately, I've spent at the L'Occitane F&F for Christmas gifts (mostly) and Papyrus F&F for my holiday greetings cards, and yesterday I went to Macy's F&F to pick up SO's Christmas gift (and then caved on an adorable Harajuku Lovers tote teehee). I do kind of regret not picking up anything from the Shu Hautelook or Friends & Family sales but I really have to focus on holiday shopping right now, and ... I really don't need anything LOL!
4. Do you Collect Anything? I used to collect penguin stuffies as a child and I still get a small urge to buy every one I come across. I used to collect stationery (not so much collecting as a goal but rather as a byproduct of my love of cute pretty things), and cute figurines, etc. Can you tell I am really much more of a collector?
