I hate car problems. Oh come on. Who likes car problems...other than mechanics? On the way to work yesterday my car's engine felt like it slipped then all of a sudden my Check Engine light came on and my message center in my car flashed TRANSMISSION NEEDS SERVICE. Oh great. I'm on my way to work, it's 7 AM and my Transmission is not working. GAH! This is NOT the way to start off 2010. It's a new year that does not mean new transmission. So I take my car to the dealership and they tell me that my car needs a software upgrade. MY CAR? Software upgrade? Um. No thanks. I'll just hook my usb cable up to my car and download the upgrade that way. Seriously though. Software upgrade sounds so futuristic (note: I obviously know nothing about cars so things like this impress me like shiny things impress babies). So if we are so future based where the hell is my jet pack. I mean seriously. it's 2010. Shouldn't we have jet packs, flying cars and full meals in pill form? The 21st century so far has been a real let down. When I was little we were told that we would be living like The Jetsonsnow. In the classic words from Astro The dog, " Ruh Ro, Rorge!" I guess there are not jet packs yet, no flying cars, no meals in pill form. I guess I'll just deal with my regular car with it's broken transmission. Oh and yeah, the software upgrade? $280. I guess Chanel and Dior Spring collection is off the shopping list.

1. Lip Of The Day? - Guerlain Kiss Kiss Gloss in 865. I forget the name. It's a pretty light pink with gold shimmer. It has a nice non sticky feel but the fragrance drives me nuts. Yech!
2. Do you plan to, or have you bought anything from the Spring 2010 collections?- I had planned to, but now I'm not sure. I might pick up the Chanel eye shadow single in Sillage but I want to see it in real life first.
3. What do you keep in the trunk of your car? - (OK I know some of you don't have cars, so I apologize for this question you can skip it, or make something up like "I keep a dead hooker in the trunk of my car.") I have a stroller, a diaper bag, Ice melt, Ice Scraper and Radiator Fluid. Oh did I mention that I need a new radiator too? Yeah. The car is great. NOT.
4. How many foundations do you have right now? - I have 5 and that's 4 too many. (not including my white foundation) I really would like to find one that works. Ah the search continues.
5. If you had one extra hour of free time a day, how would you use it? - Oh I think if it was really "free time" I would use it to bake. I love to bake but I just don't have time right now. I owe Mr. Sith his Birthday Lemon Meringue Pie and his Birthday was back in December! If I didn't have anything to bake I would use that extra hour of free time to play with my makeup of course!
I can sympathize with the car issue..my last *$21.95 special* oil change ended up costing over $300 due to a nail in my tire and tread wear...ok,off to the poll.. 1. 3. What do you keep in the trunk of your car? no car but if I did have a car, my truck would probably be a portable dump site. A dump site is where serial killers dump the remains of their victims. They usually pick a place and fill it up and then move on to another dump site. DH already calls all of my bags "portableee dumpsites"

I'm not sure that I can count that high. Off the top of my head, and not including backups, I would have to say that I have about 7 to 10 liquids and about 5 to 8 powder foundations. I can't even be bothered any more to do amything beyond covering the zits. Not even translucent powder to take the shine off . . .
5. If you had one extra hour of free time a day, how would you use it?
Knit or crochet or otherwise figure out new patterns for knitting and crocheting.
Okay I'd like to start my poll answers with my current favorite tv show quote, "Can I replace my legs with a wheel like Rosie from the Jetsons?" - Tracy Morgan, 30 Rock. I ended my year with car problems and my lesson learned is I am never buying a Volkswagen again - this is the second time we dropped a couple bills on my car!
Okay onward....
1. LOTD - the new 5N lipstick from MAC's All Races...collection and I topped it with the Lip Gelee - Resort Life from the new Lillyland collection. Its a surprisingly good combo - 5N is a dark mocha color that pulls up a bit plum/rosey on me and the gloss is a neutral with pink sparkles - it works trust me.
2. Yes, I bought way too much already - this is why I hate the multiple collection launches from MAC. I want that mushroom taupe color from Chanel that everyone is in a tizzy over but by the time I swallow the thought of buying a $23nail polish it'll be sold out and I'll be sad that I didn't jump on the bandwagon. My favs so far - All's Good blush, Love Lace shadow, Sense of Style liner, Taupe impeccable brow pencil, Resort Life lip gelee - still testing out the 5N lipstick. I will take back the By Candlelight MSF(waaaaay too frosty for my liking) and Mulled Cider e/s (didn't wow me as much).
3. In my trunk - my daughter's stoller, recycled shopping bags I always forget to used. And two stuffed bags of used clothes that I planned on donating to Salvation Army 6 months ago =(
4. Right now I have 3 and I feel that is too many. I'm currently trying Chanel's Teint Innocence compact. I treated myself - this is the first time I'm using Chanel foundation and I love it!
5. I'm with you on the spending time baking! More than likely, I would just paint my nails and read all my magazines.

I can kind of relate with the car issues.. no one told me it hadn't been inspected when I purchased it, and now it has to go in for issues with the locks and alarm system. :( Pretty annoying seeing as it's my first car. I've had it for about four months, and I'm already seeing that they'll tack on just about anything 'wrong with it' when you bring it in for a repair. Haha.

3. What do you keep in the trunk of your car? - Since it hasn't been driven in ages, I think the only thing back there is the piece of paper that used to be my temp. plates. I wish that there were shopping bags containing some spring collections I wanted to pick up, instead. :)

1. lip o' the day was Purple Rite (mac Style Warriors). It is almost 8pm, so it is long gone...
2. I ordered some MAC all ages all races stuff and had it sent to my mom's ( I loved the N Collection), but will also be getting some Nars when that comes out.
3. I keep almost nothing in the boot of my car. I think there is some windscreen washing fluid and that is it.
4. 3 foundations, one in a pan, is almost gone. Not sure if I will replace it with the same thing or not.
5. one extra hour? a bonus hour? yoga. In my alternate universe. In reality I waste a lot of my time already. hm. ( I love to bake and do that about once a week)

1. Lip Of The Day? - Laura Mercier Baked Earth Stickgloss. My go-to lipstick. It's so pretty and yet easy to wear. I'm wearing it with UD Baked and the MAC Spiced Chocolate quad today. :D

I'm on a no-buy and I'm trying not to buy *any* beauty products for the entire month! If I succeed then I'll treat myself to something nice... probably a NARS blush. =)

4. How many foundations do you have right now? - So, technically I have 2 foundations right now, EDM semi-matte in Sandy Medium and Perricone's No Foundation Foundation... but the second was a gift I won through a giveaway and I've decided that it's just not working for my skin. =/
