Thursday Poll


Procrastination. I am a HUGE procrastinator. I will put off doing almost anything...except sleep. I'm serious. I'll even put off going to pee if I can do it. I don't know why I procrastinate, maybe it's because there is always something else to do, or maybe it's because that last game of Spider Solitaire wasn't THE BEST game I ever played, maybe the NEXT one will be! OK. Maybe it's because I don't like tasks, chores, whatever..things YOU HAVE TO DO. they suck.. Kinda like writing Thank You notes. I suck at that. I mean I can write a good Thank You note but I hate sitting down and doing it. I wish typing thank you notes was socially acceptable. I would totally have all 15 of those damn notes from Darthypie's birthday party finished by now. But nooooooo. Miss Emily Post and her disdain for typewriters now makes a simple task more like a Sisyphean task because my handwriting kinda sucks and I misspell words when I'm in a hurry and then I have to start the note all over again, only to screw it up again and to the point where pushing a boulder up a hill sounds appealing almost. So as I sit here doing the Thursday Poll, the notes sit unwritten. The brightly colored Thank You cards mock me from the ottoman where they are sitting...waiting...

1. Blush Of The Day - Chanel JC in Narcisse. GAH. I JUST hit pan on this perfect light pink blush...thankfully I think I may have worked out a swap for a new one. This blush has sadly been discontinued for reasons too evil to comprehend....(I really don't know why I just like being dramatic)

2. Do you procrastinate? - Um yeah.

3. Thing you hate doing most in your beauty routine? - Aside from washing my face when I'm really tired? I will have to say applying foundation. I wish my skin was good enough to go without it, b/c getting the application right to where it looks like you aren't wearing foundation is a pain in the butt.

4. Most disliked household chore? - Washing dishes. I even hate putting dishes in the dishwasher. I don't mind unloading the dishwasher I just really have this weird thing about handling dirty dishes. It's not a phobia per se...it's just...I'm a princess and I shouldn't ever have to. HA! Thank goodness Mr. Sith loads the dishwasher and I unload it. He leaves the pots & pans for me to wash one he has rinsed them out. I'm not happy about it but hey, it's better than nothing!

5. Current beauty obsession? - Humm. Aside from purple nail polish. I guess it would have to be finding a decent shampoo & conditioner...because I really just need a hair cut but I figure I'll just buy new products to tame my unruly mane until I stop procrastinating and finally cut my hair.

  1. I can't tell you how much I love your blog - great beauty swatches combined with a great sense of humor. That's a winning combo for me :) BTW, I hate doing dishes too however vacuuming the stairs is the thing I hate doing the most. What a pain!

    NYC Fall-In-Love which I have been wearing daily for the past month or so. Neutral warm slightly shimmer rose. Trying to hit pan, lol.

    DH calls me "Mrs Manana" and says my tombstone will say "I was going to do it."

    3. Thing you hate doing most in your beauty routine?

    Mascara only because the thought of having to take it off at the end of the day kills me.


    4. Most disliked household chore? -

    Dishes. I don't mind doing them but DH hates the way I do dishes so I am off the hook. I actually like doing laundry.

    5. Current beauty obsession?

    None really at the moment, though I want to order more ELF clear lip liners and their Studio contour e/s brush.

  4. 1. Blush of the Day - Cargo's Tonga. I just found this tin - it's probably 3 yrs old but it's a light dusty pink that actually looks good on me.

    2. Do you procrastinate - can I come back to this question, later?

    3. Thing I hate about my beauty routine - well it use to be getting interrupted my husband so he could use the bathroom but starting this morning I got to do my makeup in peace and uninterrupted. We moved into a home with 2 BATHROOMS! But honestly, it is putting on my foundation. It's like laying spackle on a wall - I have a multitude of blemishes I need to cover up, sadly.

    4. I HATE CLEANING THE TOILET, hence the CAPS - I don't think I have to discuss why I hate this task...

    5. Current beauty obsession - the new Rouge Coco lipsticks and I'm starting to obsess about Chanel blushes too. I want one just to see what all the fuss is about!

  5. 1. Blush of the day? None at the moment, I'm having a lazy morning. It will be either Sugarbomb (really good for lazy/thoughtless mu days) or D&G Nude.

    2. Do you procrastinate? Yes but... I married a much worse procrastinator and somehow this has made me much better, I guess because now I understand how annoying it is?

    3. Thing you hate doing most in your beauty routine? I hate getting my hair cut and colored - it takes soooo long and I hate sitting in one place for that length of time.

    4. Most disliked household chore? Vacuuming. Hate it.

    5. Current beauty obsession? A very sheer tinted moisturizer, just something to even out skin tone and make me look NATURALLY glowy...

    3. Thing you hate doing most in your beauty routine? - Removing MU when I am drunk off my a** and tired as well lol

    Everything. Its so unfair that I have to do anything at all. I should have married a rich guy who would have hired maids.

    5. Current beauty obsession? - Trying to find something, anything that will hydrate my perched skin and get rid of blemishes and spots.

    2. do you procrastinate?: why yes, but i try not to. i'm easily stressed and having to do things last minute definitely adds to that. Although i should clarify that i procrastinate things like chores and not my school work
    3. things i hate in my beauty routine: i second washing my face, and shaving... but dont worry i do it
    4. most disliked household chore: I used to love doing laundry because it is the most lazy chore: open machine throw clothes and soap in, start, go do something else. Now that I live in an apartment, Ihave come to hate it. Doing laundry requires me to walk up and down 3 flights of stares at least 3 times. Talk about pain in the butt.

    2. Do you procrastinate? absolutely

    3. Thing you hate doing most in your beauty routine? applying TM or foundation. Thankful I have had good skin & only wear it when I want. It seems to make me look older, so I'm not as likely to be mistaken for someone in their 20s. Darn freckles or something.


    4. Most disliked household chore? Dusting. You know we can all sit perfectly still and still generate dust. Our cells/hair falls off and makes up a lot of household dust. So doesn't even matter if we try to limit the crud our shoes, clothes, handbags, windows open create. With hardwood floors, darker door frames/antiques throughout, it can look dusty soon after I go through the whole place.

    5. Current beauty obsession? Keeping dry cuticles at bay. Inconvenient to walk around w/ a pr of gloves - would take forever to go get them whenever I needed to do something. bottles of moisturizer - hit pan

    2. Do you procrastinate? - It depends. Usually not, but there are some things I naturally just do better if I save them for the last moment. Otherwise, I'm a go-getter and I do things immediately.

    3. Thing you hate doing most in your beauty routine? - Plucking my eyebrows, only because my hairs grow so fast that I have to constantly do it.

    4. Most disliked household chore? - I love all household chores but I don't like to dust because, well, I'm allergic to dust.

    5. Current beauty obsession? - PURPLE EYE SHADOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    None, seeing as I wasn't going anywhere today. (annnnotherrr snow storm! :( )

    always, unless I'm insanely motivated (which isn't often, but wonderful when it happens.)

    3. Thing you hate doing most in your beauty routine? -
    make-up removal.. I either can never get the mascara off, or the eyeliner, or wind up sleeping at my S.O's and wake up with large black blotches around my eyes. ugh.

    4. Most disliked household chore? -
    I actually like doing things around the house. (As long as it's not my house.. haha) I just hate going through old stuff to organize it, because I'm allergic to dust & other things that lurk around the house.

    5. Current beauty obsession? -
    Lipstick, particularly MAC. Brushes. Liquid foundation. & face-cleaning products. :)

    3. Thing you hate doing most in your beauty routine? - I also hate washing my face when I'm really tired! My skin is pretty breakout prone, so I have to get it ALL off.

    4. Most disliked household chore? Cleaning of all kinds: washing dishes, putting away clothes, vacuuming...

    5. Current beauty obsession? - Glitter nailpolish! Total throwback to my middle school years.

    3. Thing you hate doing most in your beauty routine? - Foundation. I generally go without unless I have something important going on that day.

    4. Most disliked household chore? - This is a little more specific than dishwashing...I hate cleaning pans and grills. Normal dishes are fine, but when I have to deal with excessive amounts of drippings and grease...I just...ugh.

    5. Current beauty obsession? - Figuring out how to style my hair. I'm getting too old to have it in a ponytail all the time, but I can't stand leaving it down.

  15. I'm a little late, but I figured I'd do this anyway.

    1. Blush Of The Day - Shu Uemura Glow On P Wine 25, a pretty bright pink, even though I probably would have been better off going with LM Rose Blossom or NARS Sin with the dark purple eye.

    2. Do you procrastinate? - Oh hell yea, lol. I'm right there with you, except I'll write letters/notes to people in order to avoid doing real work LOL...

    3. Thing you hate doing most in your beauty routine? - Hmm. I hate washing my face too b/c lately I've been really disappointed in my skin. I think I hate covering up blemishes more though. Even though the end result is worth it, it's such a freaking pain and I wish I didn't have to do it.

    4. Most disliked household chore? - Heehee, right there with you! I *hate* doing the dishes. SO and I have an agreement that he does the dishes and I do the laundry. Now, I don't love doing the laundry better, but I hate doing the dishes more... I just don't like getting my hands wet with soap for that long I think, even though we use a scrubby brush. I don't mind emptying the dishwasher at all but I'm too OCD to put things in the dishwasher without them being clean already... lol.

    5. Current beauty obsession? - Getting on top of my cystic acne and fixing the scars it left behind. =/

  16. I love your sense of humour XD ugh I hate foundation, I've yet to find a decent one and a way to apply it so that it doesnt look like Im wearing any. I have horror skin :(
