Happy Memorial Day!

Memorial Day is actually about honoring those servicemen and women who have died while defending The United States Of America. As you read this, the USA still has soldiers abroad doing what their country has asked of them in both Iraq and Afghanistan. These wars have been going on for a decade.  It is important to remember that not all of our troops will be coming home....tragically. So please, while enjoying your barbecues, swimming pools, holiday sales and time with your friends and family, please remember those who have sacrificed everything so that we can continue to do so.

  1. I'm not American, and I don't agree with everything the US military does. However, I do respect the work that all the people serving in the military do, and the sacrifices they make for the sake of their country.

I also like to remember the people who have served and come back from the military. I was just watching a TV show about how it takes over a year to get veterans' disability benefits. I hope that changes, really, REALLY soon.
