Question of the Week: - Do you have any makeup/beauty tricks for looking more awake?
Answer: - A cooling eye gel to reduce the puffiness under my eyes, Lots of concealer under my eyes to hide the bags, then I add a light pink blush and bright lips. I try to avoid dark eye makeup and dark lips as those can make me look older and more tired.

Hi, Elvira!
ReplyDeleteI haven't commented before (I think), but, girl, I love your sassy writing style!
My trick is to mix a tiny bit of luminizer (I like Benefit High Beam or even Eye Bright pencil) with a tiny dab of untinted eye primer (my fave is Nars Pro Prime Eye) and then apply from lash line to brows. It adds a sheer brightening effect that works on it's own or subtly enhances shadows. Voila, perky eyes! :)
MAC Strobe Cream around the eyes and on the top of the cheekbones. Concealer photographs so much better with Strobe Cream underneath. Curl lashes, lots of mascara on the middle upper lashes and something pretty and shimmery in the inner corner. My eyes look so small when I'm tired. Oh, and some creme blush as well, it does brighten the eyes.
