Le Métier de Beauté’s Kaleidoscope Eye Kit in Pallid Incandescence Available July 5th!

According to Dustin Lujan and the rest of the fashion world, NEON is the "IT" color for summer.  Everything old is new again, right?  Well thankfully the neon of the 1980's has been banished and more palatable neons are are appearing on the runways and red carpets.  This time the fashion word has incorporated the trend into playful pops of color and not the all over in your face look of the 1980s, thank goodness!

Resident genius and product specialist at Bergdorf Goodman in Manhattan, Dustin Lujan, has developed a new Kaleidoscope Eye Kit that flaunts serious color: Pallid Incandescence. Le Metier de Beaute has blended electric and pastel hues to create "Pallid Incandescence" and it is the "go-to" look for a brighter-than-bright look for summer!

Pallid Incandescence brings the summer’s brightest and boldest colors into a look that is quintessentially a Le Metier de Beaute Kaleidoscope!  Each shadow reflects one another with just the right amount of light and brilliance for a sun goddess glow.

"Layer shades for more intensity or wear alone for a softer look," comments Dustin Lujan, Le Métier de Beauté Resident Artist, Bergdorf Goodman. "Either way, the fierce flash of pop-‐hued tones will liven up any look this summer season with statement and flair."

The Kaleidoscope Eye Kit in Pallid Incandescence includes (from top to bottom):
Flush, a pastel pop of peach and pink,
Lambent, an electric green with effervescent lime tones,
Refulgent, an orangey/pink neon
Ultraviolet, a lightening punch of lilac.

Using the Le Métier de Beauté signature eye shadow application technique, "Couches de Couleur" (the layering of color), each shade is selected to evoke one element in a sequence of crescendo:
1. Warm 2. Cool 3. Hot 4. Cold. The combination is famed for increasing the femininity of the eyes, while adding a dash of mystery.

This Kaleidoscope Eye Kit is a Bergdorf Goodman exclusive!  The Le Métier de Beauté’s Kaleidoscope Eye Kit in Pallid Incandescence will retail for $95 USD and will be available Starting July 5th 2012. For order information, please call Dustin Lujan at (212) 872-8612.

What do  you all think?  Will this be THE eye kit for you?

  1. Hmm, I would love to see this in person before actually putting an order through the phone. It does look tempting!

  2. I would guess that whoever came up with that name doesn't have English as a first language or failing that has a rather strange sense of humour. About the only brand I could see getting away with Pallid as a product name is Illamasqua and then only ironically.

    1. I'm not sure about that. Maybe ask Mr. Lujan who created the palette. :-)
