Makeup Wars Fall Look Challenge

I don't really do anything different for a "Fall Look".  I wear taupe shadow year round. I wear neutral blushes year round. I guess the only thing that changes is that I wear darker lip colors.  So while this may not be a fall look for me It could be a fall look for you.

Behold the Armani Face & Eye Palette, Easy Chic Fall Color Collection 2012 Palette #1.

Whoa. That's a mouthful. and you re going to freak when you see the price. $88 USD.  Yes. I know that's expensive.  But look at it this way, you get 3 eye shadows and a fill size face powder blusher.  Yeah I know. Still expensive.  But once I swatched the colors I HAD TO HAVE IT!

Check it out.
Sheer Shimmery Ivory
Taupe that looks almost olive green in the pan but comes out as a matte grey taupe
Black that's not the blackest black in the world, but it's pretty decent and matte.

The colors blend fairly well for a matte formula. They are not overly soft or powdery but they aren't hard either.  Which is nice.

Check out the eye look I did with it!

But now the face powder.  This is exactly what I have been looking for.  A neutral blush that doesn't look like mud on my fair skin.Armani describes it as:
"[A] feather light face powder with micronized particles of Micro-Fil™ technology illuminates the skin with the signature “Armani glow”."
I WANT THAT GLOW! I WANT TO LOOK LIKE MEGAN FOX! YESICERTAINLYDOKTHXBAI!

So once I applied the blush I went from this:

to THIS!

Isn't it amazing the transformation!

OK. I actually look like THIS

It's certainly not as impressive once you've seen the Megan Fox picture.

Oh but this look is not complete without the lips!  For the lips I used Prestige Cosmetics Lipstick in Deep Rose. Which retails for a low price of $5.50!  WIN! It's a nice deep red that really brings the look into the Fall genre. Well at least I think it does.

You can purchase the Armani  Face & Eye Palette, Easy Chic Fall Color Collection 2012 Palette #1 from Neiman Marcus or anywhere that sells Armani Beauty.  You can purchase the Prestige Cosmetics Lipstick from prestigecosmetics.com or other retailers.

Well That's about it for me.  Check out the other awesome fall looks from the rest of the Makeup Wars clan!

  1. You look fantastic! Nice disclaimer btw. Will you eat scrapple too? I'm unsure of the difference between the two, but my neighbor growing up really only preferred scrapple.

    1. Girl. I'm gonna get you some glasses. I KNOW I'm not prettier than Megan Fox, and I'm completely OK with that. That blush and middle shade MADE me get this palette. I couldn't resist!

  4. You aren't photoshopped to within an inch of your life so you look better in the palette than even Megan does! The look is beautiful for fall.

    1. Thanks! I'm a little bit photoshopped, just like Ms. Fox! :-)

    1. Thanks hon! I'm a sucker for Dark hair and icy blue eyes. I still think she is pretty.

  7. That does look very pigmented. Yes, a bit pricey but worth it in my opinion. I like your MF comparison, LOL!

    1. Yes. More pigmented that I would have thought for an Armani Palette. Usually their shadows are sooo sheer. Yes. Totally worth it too! :-)

    1. Aww. thanks. But I still think she is way prettier than me. And that's OK. I only have to have Mr. Sith think I look pretty, and he does, so I'm in luck!

  11. Prestige has *awesome* lipsticks, and the price off-sets the cost of the palette (at least that's how I justify my HE purchases-I mix in some DS items so the ciosts average out).

BTW, as many others have stated, you are so much prettier than Megan Fox!

    1. Ah. I like the way you justify. Yes. The $5 lipstick offsets the $88 palette. It's a prefect rationalization. :-)

  17. Love that photo of you (the "after" picture, silly!!). I get a strong Bette Midler vibe from it. (Just so you know, I think Bette is a stunning woman).

  18. The blush/bronzer looks an awful lot like Benefit Dallas in the swatches. Any significant differences in person?

  19. Love the Armani but you already knew that you minx!!! Love your look. Love you the most

  20. Beautiful look! :) I got the other Armani palette with the peachy blush, but I really wanted this one as well - I just wasn't sure if the blush/bronzer would work for me, but it does look very flattering!
