Winter’s freezing temperatures and dry air can wreak havoc
on your skin, leaving it dry, dull and in desperate need of a little love.
While expensive facials and trips to the dermatologist are great ways to help
skin suffering from a case of winter skin woes, most people don’t have the
money or time for such luxuries. Thankfully, there are other ways to combat Mr.
Freeze and his war on your skin, and many of them can be done in the privacy of
your own bathroom. One such option is easy - microdermabrasion at home. Here
are some well-reviewed products to check out.
Microdermabrasion is a fantastic way to keep your skin
glowing, moisturized and youthful this winter. This wonderful cosmetic dermatology procedure rejuvenates skin by gently buffing off the top layer
of skin to stimulate collagen production and promote cell growth. The result is
a younger, fresher looking complexion with little discomfort or downtime.
There are tons of great products out there ranging from one-step
masks and creams to multi-step kits and onward to more advanced tools and
buffing wands that bring the spa into your home. Check out these two products
for an easy at home solution featuring a one-step easy to control product or
for the more inspired, an advanced but easy to use buffing tool that only takes
five extra minutes to get even better spa quality facial treatments.
For a great one-step product, Isomers Reveal 'N' Renew Thermal Micro-Dermabrasion Mask is a simple,

before rinsing. For best results, use the Isomers Reveal 'N' Renew Thermal

The Crystalift
Professional Microdermabrasion At Home Treatment Set works by using sodium
bicarbonate crystals to exfoliate by gliding the Crystalift wand device over
your skin to stimulate surface renewal. This professional style treatment is
simple enough to do in your own bathroom but delivers the same results you
would get from a doctor or spa for half the cost. Convenient, effective and
customizable, all it takes is five minutes and you are on your way to skin that
will glow all winter long.
The Crystal Lift set
includes five pieces: the Crystalift machine, 4 crystal capsules, a deposit
chamber, 8 crystal capsule refills and an instructional DVD to help you get
prepared.
To use the Crystal
Lift set:
- Plug in your Crystal Lift Machine and
insert the deposit chamber into the bottom front space of the device.
- Next, shake the crystal capsule to mix
it thoroughly, then remove the cap, open the lid on the Crystal Lift
Machine and insert the capsule above the deposit chamber by pressing
firmly so that it is flush with the front of the system.
- To start, turn the device on at the
lowest vacuum setting. You can adjust to higher levels once you establish
your comfort zone. Glide the wand across your skin making sure that the
tip makes contact with your skin so that there is a complete seal created.
Move the wand across your face as desired, keeping it constantly moving as
you do your whole face.
- When you are finished, just rinse and
moisturize. Turn off the Crystalift device and throw away the crystal
capsule, rinsing the wand of any residue from your session.
Now the only thing
left to do is stand back, look in the mirror and admire your glow! Don’t let
the harsh winter take control of your skin, consider investing in any one of
these affordable products and you’ll be sure to have great looking skin all
year long. Which product would you be most willing to include in your daily
beauty regimen?

If you want to see a horror, use anything on my face with the word "abrasion" in it. Pretty much anything I try that does this breaks out my skin badly. And yes, I know they say well, oh, after it will be cleared but I can't go out looking like volcanoes are erupting all over my face. I have to interact with people and scaring them is not good, not good at all. :)
ReplyDeleteI've never tried a treatment or product with/based on dermabrasion. I'm a little hesistant to do so because of the horror stories I've heard/read, but then again so many people rave about this kind of treatments too. I don't know... :-)
ReplyDeleteTry baking soda! Mix a little bit with your facial cleanser until you get a thickish paste. Wash your face using little circular motions; avoid eye area. Rinse thoroughly and enjoy. Seriously works better and is gentler than a lot of microdermabrasion products I've tried.
