Urban Decay has launched their newest palette called Naked Basics. This is a long awaited, much needed and multi-purpose matte shadow companion to the two Naked palettes. This is truly a palette that every woman can use. For women that are fans of neutral eye makeup (Like me) to women that are bright eyeshadow color fanatics who are looking for base shades or highlighting shades to pair with their bolder shadows. Urban Decay's neutral matte shades are very wearable and will look great on literally everyone! They have mastered the art of making matte shadows ultra smooth, pigmented and soft. Their matte shadows are never chalky or powdery.
Urban Decay's best selling palette of Naked and Naked2 are proof that neutral is anything BUT boring. They are also proof that a company well known for fantastic bright and colorful eyeshadows, knows how important it is to have great neutrals to compliment those over the top colors. Let's face it, if a neutral loving girl, like myself is drooling over an Urban Decay palette then they must be doing something right!
You really can do a lot with these colors. You can use the shadows to contour and define your eyes and then add a bright pop of color! You can take it from office to After Hours with an addition of a colorful shade or using the darker colors of the palette to smoke out your daytime look.
According to Urban Decay, the chic soft-touch case has a slight sheen and it feels like suede.
This palette is small and compact so it will travel well, no matter
where you go! Honestly, this palette looks like it should be in your purse at all times. (I'm just sayin').
Urban Decay Naked Basics includes four new and exclusive eyeshadow colors, one color only available in a previous palette (Foxy from Naked2) and one all-time staff favorite (Walk of Shame from the Permanent Collection of Singles). Each Eyeshadow features Urban Decay's brand new Pigment Infusion System™, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives every shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability.
The shades are:
Venus – soft, off-white demi-matte (Perfect for highlight and adding dimension)
Foxy – very light yellow/beige matte
Walk of Shame – very light pinky nude matte
Naked2 – rosy taupe matte (TAUPE!!!)
Faint – warm, dusty brown matte
Crave – deepest, darkest brown/black matte
The Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette will retail for $27 and is currently only available at UrbanDecay.com, but will soon be available from Sephora, ULTA and select Macy’s stores. Or, online at Sephora.com, ulta.com, macys.com, and beauty.com.
Does this new palette strike your fancy? Are you craving "Crave" eyeshadow? Does the sight of "Faint" eyeshadow make you faint? I could go on with the cheeky questions, but why not tell me what you think?
