I got Tough as Taupe and it shows up as a medium gray color, which I don't like on me...but I love using it as a base. I especially like using it under regular brown eyeshadows, because they are instantly transformed into taupes. It's like having an endless amount of taupes! Maybe that's what they were going for with this one.

I bought the orange one (bright and tangy?) and LOVE IT! I know the colour isn't for everyone but I adore orange. I have only worn it twice and have learned a few tricks... The first time I wore it I found it dried down very fast so I absolutely agree with doing one eye at a time! Also by the end of the day my lids looked a little dry which they never do, but with no creasing. This was after an impressive 12 hours or so! I didn't wear anything over or under it. Next time I decided to try it with an eye cream underneath, which I usually skip during the day. So I used my Elizabeth Arden Prevage and then for some reason thought I would use my concealer on my lids too. I hardley ever use lid primer, just my mac prolong wear concealer. This time I also layered a copper estee lauder shadow over top. By the end of the day there was very minor creasing, again after 12 hours or maybe more. I think next time I will do eye cream but no concealer! I will definitely be purchasing more colours!

I applied on a clean eyelid (all Tough as Taupe, Bad to the Bronze, and Mac paintpot in Constructivist) with a synthetic brush. I wanted to try without powder shadow on top of it to really test it. I have extremely oily skin (including lids). I found this creases no more and no less than any old shadow with UD Primer in Eden. Will try w/Eden tomorrow and no powder shadow on top. That might come in two days...

I just purchased two of these over the weekend and I was skeptical. I usually just swipe on a bit of MAC paint pot for my work day makeup and by !:00 or 2:00 they've creased. I had no such problems with the Color Tattoo. My lids are pretty oily and I managed to leave work with my eye makeup perfectly intact. If they expand their neutral options I would never buy another Paint Pot again.

Nita, currently I am using a CVS version of the ROC eye cream called Firming eye lift cream. It isn't really creamy, more like a thick serum, I use it under my eye and pat it only on my brow bone. Through blinking it will work on my lids. If I need more moisture, I will dab on some eye cream (currently using up a Lacura eye cream) over it the same way as above. Make sure to wait a few moments before applying a prime.

I have VERY oily lids. The only one that have stayed on me so far is Bare Escentuals Prime Time Primer Shadows, but I haven't tried any other cream shadows. May I know what creams work for you?

My eyelids bounce around from normal, to dry, and I use eye creams. Sometimes I use a primer, if so, it is the Palladio Herbal one.

I haven't used the MAC paint pots, and thought this product would be a good way to try this concept.

I started out with the Tough as Taupe to use as a 'base color'. I wore it with some smashbox colors (love my Mega photo op palette!) and was very impressed with the longevity of it. I then tried it using my Palladio Herbal primer and my eyes looked fantab for at least 12 hours. No budging, no smudging and no creasing! Usually an impossible feat for my eye lids.

The next time I used it, I used it by itself w/out primer. I wasn't wow'd by the color, and had decent wear time. I then tried it with a primer and it lasted and didn't move around, and used a darker color in my crease.

Overall, for the Taupe, I prefer it as a base color, with a primer.
I also have the white one, it is very sheer and pretty, but like it as a base, I also have the bronze and like it, and need to play more with it. I have the Asphalt, and need to break it out and use it. I am interested in the gold one, and possibly the maroon one. I have zero interest in the brighter colors.

When you can combine coupons with a bogo sale, these are worth a purchase, and a great way to dip your toes into a paint pot type product. Hopefully they will come out with more shades both wild and neutral.

It's so funny how different skin chemistry can have such an impact on cosmetic wear. I bought two of these when I first saw them and liked them so much I bought two more. I'm probably going to end up with all of them!

I have oily lids and use eye cream but only underneath, as a primer for my concealer. I applied this with no primer and it lasted with minimal fading or creasing for 14 hours, until I took it off before bed.

I have these in Tough as Taupe and Bad to the Bronze, and they are my new favorite eye products! I have normal lids, not oily but not super dry either (I do use an eyecream), and these have lasted absolutely all day long for me. I have been using a powder shadow on top for some contrast, so maybe that helps? I was a bad girl this weekend and slept in my makeup one night, and my eye shadow still looked nice when I woke up. Sorry these didn't work for you, I love them!

I just got one for Christmas, and I'm waiting to pick up Tough as Taupe and perhaps another... We'll see though! I've never used the MAC Paint Pots, and probably won't... But who knows?! The colors at least look promising, and with my "normal" lids- I'm hoping I can wear these without creasing.

Although- I do have to say after looking at the color difference once you "swiped" the color, that IS a little off-putting.

I'm not sure why these creased on you after 4 hours because I wore the same color yesterday on bare lids and didn't have any creasing all day long. I wouldn't know if they last 24 hrs because I don't wear makeup that long, nobody should really. Maybe you have extremely oily lids? The Urban Decay 24/7 liners claim to be 24 fr wear but they don't last 24 hrs either. Don't expect miracles from makeup, people. It's foolish.

I did an eye look with Tough as Taupe and a dark grey powder shadow (can't recall offhand what it was) in the outer half of the crease, and found that only the inner aspect of my eye showed creasing by the end of the day. I wore Bad to the Bronze with MAC Charcoal Brown in the crease and a sheer nude shadow over the rest of it and had no creases all day. I didn't use primer with either. From these highly scientific tests, I've concluded that on eyelids like mine, setting with powder is crucial to extended wear. My lids aren't uber-oily, but very few things don't crease on me without primer.

I did like the neutral colors of this product. I found the colors to be true, it's easy to apply (I thought) and lasted me through the work day plus (10 hrs). I applied over UDPP with a brush. There was no creasing. I have normal skin.
I do not care for the purple, orange or blue color. I have not tried the white. I found the purple too sheer and will probably take it back or use it as a base.

I didn't like the color of Tough as taupe so got Bad to the Bronze instead. Having no primer with me, I wore it with Benefit Bikini Line as highlight and it really did last on me all day. I dont know if it's just a difference in formula between the matte and shimmery texture of Bad to the Bronze or because I "set" it with the powder eyeshadow. I have super oily lids and this particular color and formula (bad to the bronze) is a HG for me. Reminds me of MUFE #15 Taupe but warmer.
