Freeman Beauty Goji Berry Facial Hydration Mask And Bare Foot Peppermint & Plum Foot Lotion - Review

Of all the people in the world, going to all the vacation spots in the world, I bet you wouldn't think that me going to Orlando Florida in the heat of late August would need moisturizing products for my skin.  Let's face it.  Orlando, Florida is just one humidity point away from being soup most of the year.  Amirite?  Well believe it or not.  I took 2 products from Freeman Beauty on my trip that were total and complete lifesavers!

Let me give you some background, first.
A) I have very oily skin.
B) I have very dry skin on my feet.
C) I was vacationing in the 9th circle of hell that is Orlando, Florida in Late August.  The Humidity is so high in Florida that old people don't wrinkle, they just mold.*
D)Walking from your car to your hotel causes you to sweat profusely. So much so that most people walk around naked and just dress once they are in the comforts of their air-conditioned cars.*
E) Cars without air conditioning are illegal in Orlando, despite the fact that they have no state inspection.*
F) The last thing I need in a hot and humid environment is a Facial mask that gives extra hydration*
G)The last thing I need after walking all day at a convention center is a lightweight foot lotion. I'll need Crisco or something close*

Of the above statements A & B may be 100% true.  C- G may not be true or accurate or anything close to resembling facts.

So how were a  Goji Berry Facial Hydration Mask and Peppermint & Plum Foot Lotion "Saviors" in an area closely resembling the Primordial Soup from which this planet sprouted life?  Let me explain.

Something they don't tell you when booking a vacation in Orlando, is not only is everything air conditioned to within an inch of Arctic freezing, they also have de-humidifiers set up that work so efficiently and so strong that curing beef jerky in your bathroom is a national past time.*  (*not a fact)

De-humidifiers + Climate Controlled Air-Conditioned Rooms + spending less than 2 hours outside (unless you are in a pool) for each day in Orlando = DRY SKIN.  Dry skin from top to bottom.  Dry face, fry arms, dry feet. Dry everything.  I felt like I was going to turn into a pile of dust and blow away when the AC started to blow again.  I needed hep and I needed it quickly.

Oh and before you ask why I spent so little time outside I was at a star wars convention working on my fluorescent light tan.  I achieve a beautiful greyish green hue to my skin that I am very proud of.  Geeks like myself rarely sunbathe.  We get most of our radiation from our computer screens and overhead lighting.  But that's neither here nor there.

So let's address my feet first.  I spent about 7 hours a day for 4 days walking the convention center in Orlando.  That's a lot of time on my feet.  By the end of the day my feet hurt, a lot.  I was starting to develop callouses. It wasn't a pretty sight.  THANKFULLY I had  Freeman Beauty Bare Foot Peppermint & Plum Foot Lotion.

No only did this lovely lotion have a sweet fruity plum scent it wasn't overpowering because of the peppermint scent that felt re-energizing while it smoothed my dry feet.  It also contains Tea Tree Oil that really helped ease my tired feet, but provided a nice deodorizing quality too.  The lotion is fairly thin, when compared to other foot lotions but despite the "viscosity" of the product I found it hydrated and softened my feet just as well as any heavy balm I have used in the past. The lotion sinks in quickly and you aren't left with slippery or oily feet after application.

Not only did it soften my rough skin it made my skin soft for a long time too. It seemed to extend my professional pedicure longer than I would normally expect.  Gotta love that!  Plus after a long day at the convention, nothing felt better than a pina colada, a soft bed, and the cooling feeling of this lotion on my tired aching feet.

But enough about my feet. I'm sure I already have new search hits from people google-ing icky foot related fetish stuff.  ::shudders::

Let's move on to the most surprising item I received from Freeman Beauty.  The Goji Berry Facial Hydration Mask.  It's no secret that I have oily skin. I mean REALLY oily skin.  Combine that with the humidity in Orlando, FL and I expected not to wear foundation at all because it would just slide off my face.  But after flying down in a dry air airplane, and spending hours upon hours in an arid, de-humidified, air-conditioned hotel and convention center, my poor face was really looking dull and craggy.  I took out the Freeman Beauty Goji Berry Facial Hydration Mask and  slathered on this rich and creamy gel mask.  I followed the directions, Left it on for 10 minutes and rinsed well with warm water. I found a wash cloth worked well to fully remove everything.

The result:   My dry, stressed, dehydrated skin looked nourished and rebalanced.  My skin felt smooth and plump.  It was, dare I say, supple!   I lost that dull grey tone to my skin and glowed with healthy pink soft skin. It was a miracle!   It also smelled TERRIFIC!  I really enjoyed wearing it and it only took a few minutes out of my day to use it.

I can hear you right now. "But summer is over!" you whine.
Yes. I know, but dry skin never takes a holiday!

It's coming up on Fall then Winter.  What better reason to keep a tube of both products in your home for the dry winter months.  When winter is over, you don't want to emerge looking like a dried up old hag?  Of course not. You want to emerge looking as fresh as the spring blossoms on the tree!  The products from Freeman Beauty can help you achieve that goal.

For only $3.99 for the Freeman Beauty Goji Berry Facial Hydration Mask and only $3.79 for the Freeman Beauty Bare Foot Peppermint & Plum Foot Lotion, that's not much money to maintain your well hydrated, sweet princess-y self throughout the entire year!  Yes. You NEED both of these items.  I think that goes without saying.

You can purchase these Freeman Beauty items at a  number of places.  My favorites happen to be Drugstore.com, or directly from FreemanBeauty.com

  1. That is so funny; I've been saying I feel like I'm molding lately! The other funny (ironic)thing is that once you live here for a while you forget it's considered humid. Acclimation happens pretty quickly; you'd be surprised.

  2. I completely agree with you Pink Sith. I live an hour east of Orlando, have for 6 yrs and it is hell. I disagree that there is an acclimation, I still continue to break into a full body sweat as soon as I leave my home. I never understood why people came here for vacation, but to each his own!

  3. The mask sounds good. I can almost smell it :-)

I'm wondering though, when you say you got dry skin in Orlando, do you mean that you still had oily skin but with dry patches and flaking? I something have that. The worst of both worlds, basically, lol. Or did the climate and the conditions there actually improve the oiliness? I'm not saying dry skin > oily skin, but I'd still take dry skin over oily skin any day. It's so much easier to get rid of dry skin than the good rid of oil, don't you think? Just throw on some goji berry! ;-)

  4. I allways get very dry skin in the winter - ill have to get my uk friend to buy me that face mask!

  5. I love the freeman Goji Mask, been hooked ever since the wrong sample packet was brought home. I can never find it in a full size in store but it's easy to find online. I also love the Pear Refining Cleanser, maybe i'm crazy but my skin feel less oily since i've been using it.

  6. I love Freeman's products... I used to buy them all the time but now they're an extra I just can't afford. I used to use the foot lotion, it was awesome!
