Warning. This review contains TV and Movie Spoilers

The Spring 2014 collection from Lise Watier is a mixture of warm and cool colors that can satisfy almost any skin tone.  One particular stand out is the blush.  Packaged in a blue case with a dreamy pastel water color design on top, the Imagine Blush from the Spring 2014 collection is unusual and striking.

As you can see it is a blush with a richly pigmented mosaic of colors from light pink to deep fuchsia. When combined together the Lise Watier Imagine Blush imparts a strong fuchsia glow to the cheeks.  The blush is insanely pigmented.  It really packs a punch, so I recommend using a light hand upon application. In addition to the high pigmentation the blush is matte and does not give any shimmer or sheen to the finished look. Some may not like that finish, but I prefer it so I can decide if I want a truly matte look or if I want a little shimmer.

Something a lot of people know about is Color Blindness. Color blindness affects a large number of people (Mostly males). Among people with Northern European ancestry, as many as 8 percent of men and 0.5 percent of women experience the common form of red-green color blindness.  I could go into the different types of color blindness and chromosomes and the like, but I don't want to bore you.  But I will say that one of the more common tests to see if someone has colorblindness is the Ishihara Color Test Plate.

As you can see (or can't see if you are red-green color blind) the plate is made up of a series of dots in specific hues.  Most people will see a 74 those with certain kinds of color blindness might see a 21 and those with another type of color blindness will not see any number.

The reason I bring this up is that I would like to talk to you all about a serious vision affliction that 99.99% of the human population suffers from.  It is called Blush Color Blindness. (BCB) I happen to be the 0.01% of the population that does NOT have BCB.  It has been a gift and a curse all at the same time.  The Lise Watier Imagine Blush is the perfect test to see if you suffer from BCB.  Let's take a look, shall we?

If you couldn't see the messages, don't fret, you're better off. I get a lot of TV shows and books ruined for me by looking at blush messages.  You might be better off.

  3. I hope you get this eventually, obviously I'm a little bit late to the party. I've just been researching setting sprays for a destination wedding I'm in and this is the top contender at the moment. I was trying to find it in stores and lo and behold, I found out that there's a costume shop that carries it. Apparently it's very popular for those who do clown makeup because it provides such a good "hold." So maybe check out a costume shop if you can!

  5. I am tempted to doubt it is almost 100% of the population. I can see those easily. So can these other readers who commented. It doesn't make sense. But I also have vision that is so good it's not even rated. It's better than the highest rating. So maybe I'm just blessed, like you :)

  6. Fun fact about me: I'm actually 100% colorblind with a condition called Achromatopsia. And I apparently also have BCB. :(
